Teens can deeply benefit from therapy and must have their own recognition within the therapeutic process, as they are unlike children and adults and require their own space. Teens begin to look like adults and people give them responsibilities as such, even if they are not ready. Teens also are experiencing:

  • A lot of Firsts
  • Real Deep Relationships
  • Romance
  • Physical, Social, and Emotional Changes
  • Who am I, What am I, What do I Stand For

To many adults, teen’s issues are trivial, however it is important to remember that it is their first time experiencing these issues and they are in need of more support, healthy parenting, mentoring, and listening. In my work with teens, we discuss and process these life issues and how they are affecting the teen’s world:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Identity
  • Peer Pressure
  • Relationships
  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Teen Pregnancy
  • Abuse
  • Divorce
  • Violence
  • Suicide
  • Bullying
  • School Performance

I enjoy helping teen’s during this important time in their lives. I can provide a safe space where they get to deepen their own inner awareness and sense of self.
